The End is Near..
This was the last week for teams in 5th-8th.
In the 7/8 game the Avalanche came out with 7-3 win over the Leafs. LP Lemak netted 4 goals and 2 assists in the effort. In the 5/6 Game the Flyers played by far the best game of the season and looked to be unbeatable. Vinny Hunter posted only the second shutout of the League this year in the 8-0 win.
After that the Bruins played the Canadiens in a warm up game for the Consolation game next Sunday. The Bruins came away with a 4-1 win. In the warm up for the Championship game the Sharks won 3-1.
Next week is the Day of Champs and will have the Sharks playing the Rangers in a winner take all game at Thames Campus at 1:30pm. The Canadiens will be playing the Bruins on Sunday morning at 9:15 at Thames Campus for the Consolation game. League medals will be presented to 3 players (Most Sportsmanlike, Most Improved and Most Valuable) and 1 for the Coach of the Year following the Championship game on Saturday.
