PLAYOFFS GAME 1 vs. The LEAFS
Two steps forward, one step back....
The Sharks had their 2 game winning streak shattered and start the playoffs behind.
The game
started as good as any game can start, the first shift of the game had Carson deliver the lead
to the Sharks. Logan
added to the lead later in the period and the game had a tight feeling to it.
Every goal had to be earned. The Leafs opened their scoring at the midway point
of the second by capitalizing on some bad positioning and weak back checking.
They tied it up less than 2 minutes later in a similar way. Gabe was able to
regain the lead with another goal from the point at the beginning of the third this goal was assisted by his partner in crime, Bryson.
That would be the last goal the Sharks would score. The Leafs then scored 3 goals during the third to hand the
Sharks the loss. The game ended with Max being helped off the ice after a collision.(He was feeling much better after the game and doesn't expect to miss any time) It was a tough game to watch and an even tougher game to play with all the collisions.
Lydia received the Shark Tooth for the hardest working forward and Colin for the
hardest working D-man. We will have an opportunity to play the Leafs again in a
few weeks, but our focus now shifts to the Avalanche in a must win game.
See you at
the Rink,
