PLAYOFFS GAME #4 Vs. The Bruins
Under Pressure!

The Sharks entered the day with 3 losses and 0 wins in the playoffs. If there were to be any hope in making an appearance in the Day of Champs they would need to make a stand today. The Sharks didn’t only make a stand today, they put an unbelievable amount of pressure on the Bruins for all 3 periods. Brady Goodall stood on his head in the Bruins net, but even he couldn’t contain the pressure. The Sharks eventually broke the scoring open when the CRZ line (Carson, Ryan and Zach) struck at 3:46 of the 1st with Zach sending a pass to Carson for a breakaway that he quickly tucked in behind Brady. The second period was more of the same with the Sharks relentlessly keeping it in the Bruins zone. Halfway through the 2nd Kalib fired one into the net on a pass from Logan. The 2nd period would have the CRZ line strike again and this time Carson, Ryan and Zach would each get points as all of Zach’s hard work and determination had finally paid off by getting a cross crease pass from Ryan, pulling it around the Brady’s goal stick and burying the puck. (Way to go buddy.. I am so proud of you).

It wouldn’t be a game if we didn’t hear from Mad Max, so he added himself to the score sheet at the beginning of the 3rd. The Bruins got a break at the 7 minute mark of the 3rd when Brady Marks finally beat the Sharks Defence, Williem and the goal posts to end his bid for the shutout. Once again the CRZ line added to the scoring when Carson scored his second of the game with 3 minutes to go. The game ended in a 5-1 Victory for the Sharks and the dressing room was hopping after the game. We got the monkey off our back.

This was the best game our defence has played all season. We were able to throw out line after line and watch the D hold the blue line in the Bruins zone, and break up almost all the rushes the Bruins would try to make. Bryson is quickly becoming an elite defenseman in this league by reading plays and making breakout passes. Lydia is identifying when to jump in the play, Colin is a skating machine, Sawyer is like a Swiss army knife and Gabe is our version of Nicklas Lidstrom.

Kalib, Logan and Tanner were passing the puck really well with each other, you guys maybe didn’t score as many as you would have liked, but you guys are just as responsible for this win as the rest of the team keep it up. I also noticed Elliot and Carter had really solid games today. Williem made 19 saves and continues to give the whole team confidence by making huge saves when we need them. The Sharks Teeth today went to Carson on forward and Sawyer on Defence. Way to go Guys (and LydiaJ) Let’s keep this rolling next week.

See you at the Rink
