PLAYOFFS GAME 5 vs. The Avalanche
Quick Sand!
The game started out as expected, a very tight game with pressure on both ends of the rink. The Avalanche broke through first with 4 minutes to go in period 1. We were able to tie it up 30 seconds into the 2nd with a goal from Max assisted by Gabe. The rest of the 2nd was very similar to the 1st until a bad luck bounce off of Colin redirected past Williem and made the score 2-1 for the Avs. That was the beginning of the end for a determined Sharks team. The Avs would go on to score 3 more unanswered goals. It seemed as though the harder the Sharks played the further behind they got. Max gave us one more goal with 5 to go in the game with an assist by Logan. It gave a tiny bit of hope until Harrison put the nail in the coffin with 3 to go. The Shark teeth went to Williem in the net for the defence making 30 saves and Max up front for putting everything he had into losing effort right up to the last buzzer.
It’s tough to watch the Sharks put so much effort into a game and not get rewarded for it, I am impressed that even with our record we have a team full of players that show up every week to work. Lets dig in and finish the race strongly.
