Playoffs Game #8 vs. The Leafs
Power in numbers!!??
This week the Sharks took on the Leafs and had to do so with a very limited roster. We took to the ice with 9 skaters and a goalie. We weren’t sure what we going to have today, but everyone came determined to end our losing skid. Gabe, Carson and Colin handled the defensive duties with ease, the front line of Logan, Kalib and Ryan carried the lion’s share of scoring with 5 of the 6 goals for the Sharks. (3 from Logan, 2 from Kalib) our checking line of Zach, Williem and Sawyer kept the pressure in the Leafs zone for most of the game and even generated a goal when Zach buried his 3rd of the season, he is quickly establishing himself as a very capable canter man. Williem had a lot of good looks and Sawyer made a ton of great defensive plays. Lydia made some exciting saves in the net for us as she faced 24 shots and only allowed 3 goals.
Next week we will end our playoffs season when we take on the powerhouse Penguins and try to shut down the leagues leading scorer. We will have a few more players in the line up and it should be a blast.
Also mark Tuesday the 19th on your calendars as our last practice and fun day. We will have a full practice scrimmage with a “twist”, followed by a tail gate party in the parking lot, Hot Dogs and pop are being provided and a game of road hockey might break out so bring your road hockey sticks.
