Rangers Goalie Shines In Win Over Leafs, News, Dodge Caravan Kids Leafs, Novice Dodge Caravan Kids, 2013-2014, HL (Kent Minor Hockey Association)

​The Leafs rolled into town to take on the Rangers today.  The pre game had all the hype of a classic match up.  Two original six teams facing off.   A historic rivalry about to be played out again.  Spectators coming from as far as Woodstock to witness this battle of the ages....  Both teams lined up at center ice.  You could feel the tension in the air.

Then the ref realized they didn't have a puck....

After a 5 minute delay digging through players bags we finally sourced a puck and the game was on.  Both teams played hard but the Rangers goalie was the difference.  The Rangers were up 8-0 and it looked like for the first time this season the Leafs would be shutout.  However, with three minutes left in the game Tyler took the puck up alone and scored a real nice goal breaking the shutout.  Tanner and Owen picked up the assists on the goal, their first points of the season.  Kaden made many big saves and played a good game in net, especially for being his first between the pipes this season.  I am still trying to figure out how Kaden is able to catch the puck in his pads.  George who work hard the whole game and never gave up, took home the game MVP for the Leafs.

The Leafs take on the Habs next week in what will be another classic tilt.
