Leafs Win
A great team effort on Saturday gave the Leafs the edge over the Canadiens.  The Leafs are finally rewarded with a victory for their hard work and great team play.

With three players missing from the roster the Leafs all knew they would have to work a little harder today as they face off against the Habs.  With the Canadiens up by one early in the first period, George took a nice feed from Mitchell and skated full steam into the Habs zone and drained a well placed wrist shot.  Two minutes later it was Tyler that broke in all alone and scored a beauty on a great backhand shot, Owen and Sawyer picked up the assists.
The score was 2-1 Leafs for most of the second period.  The Leafs pressed hard and carried the play for most of the period but the Canadiens goalie turn aside many great Leaf chances.  George scored his second goal of the game unassisted on a lucky shot that fooled the Habs goalie.  The Canadiens answer with a goal of their own making it 3-2 leafs going into the third.
Early in the third Period Tyler flew in off the point picking up a loose puck and scored his second of the game beating the Habs goalie on a well placed wrist shot, Mitchell picked up his second assist of the game.  The Leafs and Canadiens traded scoring changes for most of the third period.  Kayden was sharp in net for the Leafs making a couple of huge saves.  All the Leafs were working hard at both ends of the rink, forchecking and back checking as hard as they possible could.  With a minute left in the game the Canadiens pulled their goalie for the extra attacker and scored a goal making it 4-3 Leafs.  Right after the goal the buzzer sounded ending the game.  Leafs win.  Brett took home game MVP honours for his hard work and great sportmanship demonstrated during this contest.  Great team effort Leafs.  Go Leafs Go.
