Return to Action
This week, the Rangers returned to action to face the Avalanche.

With a break in action coming due to the Christmas break, the Rangers returned to action in a back and forth battle with the Avalanche.  For anyone who watched this game, I think it is safe to say it was a barnburner!

Game notes.
  • Williem Seguin played net for the Rangers today.  Williem faced 33 shots and looked spectacular.  Williem kept the Rangers in the game and provided us a chance to win.  Great job Williem.  On a side note, his offence and chemistry on the Kaleb, Noah and Williem line was missed.
  • Lucas Kirchner played a fantastic game.  He created many chances for the Rangers to score through his hustle and effort.  Luc pressured the point in our zone many times and created scoring chances.
  • Ethan Vandermeersch, Ethan Vandermeersch, Memphis Peatson, and Aiden Solway played one of the strongest defensive games of the year.  These young defenceman never quit, kept the puck in the offensive zone, created scoring chances for the forwards and even rushed the puck a little.  Keep up the awesome work defence.
  • Kassidy Teare, Victor Everrit, Noah Wilson, Serenity Primeau, and Asher Wygiera all gave solid effort and skated hard on every shift.
  • Aiden Venhuizen continues to be the backbone for the offence.  He comes back to stop rushes, creates scoring chances and does whatever the coaches ask.  Aiden must have had around 8 or 9 shots on net this game.
  • Devon Wilson.  Devon has worked so hard every game and practice and today was no different.  Devon worked hard to be involved in the play.  He kept the puck in the offensive zone and gave all out effort. Devon plays with confidence and will continue to improve.  Keep up the hard work Devon.

Points.
1 goal - Kaleb Wilson
1 assist - Lucas Kirchner

Overall, the Rangers played a great game and created a lot of scoring chances.  We just couldn't get the puck in the net.  In this loss, we have found things that we can work on that will continue to make us better.

Lastly, as coach Dale mentioned to the team, "you Rangers should keep your heads up high."  You played a great game!!!

See you at practice,
Coach Anthony
