Today the Rangers took on the Leafs.
The leafs are a much improved team, so the Rangers knew we had to play a strong game.
Adding to that, the Rangers had to do so with one of our best forwards and best defenceman unable to attend the game.
- Kassidy Teare faced 20 tough shots today and played a fantastic game. Positioning was great making it very tough for anyone to put the puck behind her. Kassidy made some huge breakaway saves and gave the Rangers a chance to win. (Thanks Frank, for keeping tabs of shots on net!)
- Serenity Primeau played her best game of the year. She skated hard, skated with the puck and had a couple of shots. Serenity really stepped it up today, and also picked up a bunch of assists. Nice job Serenity!
- Asher Wygiera played hard all game. He gave his best effort and really played a great game. Asher only fell once or twice and really pushed hard. Awesome job Asher!
- Carter Evans and Memphis Peatson played a fantastic game on defence. Both played hard and kept the puck in the offensive zone most of the game. Memphis made one of the best clearing passes out of our zone for a nice breakaway!
- Aiden Solway also played a fantastic game and split time between defence and offence. While on offence, Sobey took great shots and kept the pressure on the leafs defence.
- Noah Wilson stepped it up as well today. He had 2 breakaways and 3 shots. The leafs goalie made some great saves on those chances. Noah skated well and was in the play all game.
- Victor played another great game and had a nice breakaway. The leafs goalie made a tremendous save! Awesome work victor.
- Aiden Venhuizen played a great game. He played well offensive and defensive and worked hard to set up some scoring opps for some of the younger kids. Aiden was a real team player today!
- Ethan Vandermeersch has become a powerhouse on defence. He scored a hat trick and had an assist. He passed well, played defence minded before rushing the puck and kept working hard. Nice job E-man!
- Williem "The Rocket," Seguin played another fantastic game. He scored a hat trick as well and had an assist. Williem and Kaleb continue to work well together and create excellent scoring chances. Excellent job Williem.
- Kaleb Wilson hustled all game. He had a beautiful goal today and a handful of assists. Most notably for Kaleb was his hustle down the ice to help the defence. Kaleb caught up to 2 breakaways and stopped them. Awesome….
- Devon Wilson had the best game of his life!!! He played like he has been playing for 5 years. Devon was rewarded with extra ice time and he made the most of it. What a great game Devon.
- Owen Lamb played a great game as well. He kept hustling and made it hard for the Leafs forwards to score when in the defensive zone. Great work Owen.
Honourable mention goes to the entire team today. Everyone had a career game and played hard. Great work Rangers.
