Rnd 1, Game 2. The Test!
This weekend the Rangers played the second game of the series against the Leafs.

This game was a true test for the Rangers.  Respect to the Leafs as they came out strong and ready to play.  The Leafs put pressure on the Rangers for the entire game and gave the Rangers a true test.  To win this game, the Rangers had to dig deep and put in one of the strongest efforts as the Leafs goalie was shutting the door on us.  The Rangers had multiple good scoring chances but just couldn't get that first goal, until late in the second period.

Game notes:

*Kassidy Teare played a great game for us, again!  Kassidy made some big saves on tough Leaf shots.  Kassidy gave the Rangers a chance this game.  Great work Kassidy.
*Aiden Venhuizen played another terrific game.  He played hard all game and scored 2 nice goals.  Aiden scored the first goal of the game for the Rangers and managed to get the Rangers out of the funk of not being able to get that first goal.  Look for Aiden to have a super strong game next week as we introduce him to a new winger!!!
*Bubba Kirchner also played a great game.  Luc has a great ability to put pressure on opposing team defences by rushing the point or offensive zone when the puck is cleared.  He makes defences make mistakes with his constant effort.  Awesome work Bubba.
*Kaleb Wilson, Williem the Rocket and Noah Wilson all played very well together, again!  Between the 3 forwards, we must have had 25 scoring chances.  This line accounted for 4 points this game.  We could not have won without your efforts boys!
*Owen and Asher played a great game as well.  Asher's skating is improving every game and it is helping him to keep up on the ice and involving him in the play.  Asher had a great scoring chance and also put pressure on the Leafs goalie by crashing the net.  Awesome Asher.  Owen continues to work on his skating as well.  Owen has become more offensive minded and is also invloving himself in the play.  Great work Owen.
*Victor played very well and may have had one of his best games to date.  Victor has become a top forward and is continuing to carry the puck and take advatage of his speed.  Victor has given the Rangers another option for scoring.
*Devon Wilson is one of the more consistent players in the fact that each and every game he provides maximum effort.  This game was no different and Devon was part of the play every shift he was on.  Devon and Asher together had one of the best shifts I have seen all year.  Keep it up Devon!
*The entire defence of E-man, Sobey, Memphis, Carter and Ethan Crow played amazing.  The Defence blocked shots, cleared the puck well and never let anyone in behind them.  Defence also did a greta job of clearing rebounds and covering forwards in front of our net.  Awesome work defence.  Remember, good defence wins games!!!

The Rangers coaches are very proud of each and every player this game.  Everyone dug deep and never gave up.  Keep up the hard work Rangers and see you at practice!
