Game 23 & 2 exhibition games.
Regualr season game versus Southpoint and 2 exhibitions.  St. Thomas and Petrolia.

The last 2 weeks of hockey for the cobras have been great.  On December 5th, the Cobras had a rematch exhibition game against the St. thomas Stars.  On December 6th, the Southpoint team was in town.
This weekend, the cobra's had an exhibition game against the Petrolia Oilers at the RBC centre, in front of a large audience and before the Sarnia Stong game.  As part of that great weekend, the cobra's were invited to line the red carpet and welcome the Stong players on the ice prior to the game.  And, as if that was not enough, our own Brayden Hoss Dehaas was invited to drop the opening faceoff puck!

Game Notes.  Here is a 1 liner for what I thought each player did really well over the last 2 weeks that supports their development.

**Noah Coatsworth played big in the net and focused on staying on his feet more.
**Kayden Fraser also played well.  Kayden's glove hand is amazing and over the last 2 weesk his focus has been coming out of the net more and cutting down angles.
**Bradley Oickle played some great hockey, especially this last weekend in Sarnia.  Oicks was tough on the puck and moved his feet more.
**Gregory Ansell has also played some of his best hockey.  Gregory's biggest improvement over the last 2 weeks include being ready on face-offs and keeping the puck in the offensive end.  Greg is becoming a very reliable defenceman.
**Kayden Lovell is loaded with talent and continues to become more involved in the play each game.  Stud!
**Memphis Peatson is beginning to relize he has speed and can carry the puck.  Memphis is working hard and will continue to develop as a strong forward when he gets staying on his wing.
**Reese Church has developed into a very strong defenceman and has significantly improved our defence.  Churchy plays tough defence and is always moving his feet.  Churchy began to carry the puck a little more in the last few games.  As this continues, this will be a big step forward for his development.
**Jayden Baylis works hard every game and will not quit.  Jayden has been seeing time on both offense and defence.  Jayden is developing and will continue to develop as he becomes stronger on his feet.
**Isaac Cook has made a move to forward and is doing an exceptional job.  Isaac is putting up points and is working hard to become a solid back checker.  Isaac will continue to develop as he becomes more comfortable in the offensive role.
**Mitchell Loveday took some big steps forward these last few weeks.  I challenged Mitchell to skate as hard back checking as he does when he gets the puck.  Since that day, Mitchell has done a fantastic job and has taken 3 steps forward in being a well rounded power forward.  Great work Mitchell.
**Noah Wilson was also challenged by his dad to be more aggressive on the puck.  Noah has speed and is able to back check quite well.  Noah's challenge was to stay with the puck and win those battles in the corners.  Noah has also taken 3 steps forward and is becoming an offensive threat.  Keep up the hard work Noah.
**Connor Graham has been working on moving his feet more.  Connor has the gift of great hands but will benefit more when he is able to add speed.  Connor really impressed me over the last few weeks with some of the hardest work I have seen come from him.  He skated very hard and was very strong in the corners and in front of the net.  Awesome work Connor.
**Dakota Marchand has also made some progress in carrying the puck.  Dakota no longer dumps the puck when she gets it and rather, has begun to try skating with it.  Dakota is also tougher on the puck in the offensive zone and has taken on a leadership approach in ensuring everyone is in the right place on face offs.  Great work Dakota.
**Ashton Lovell has has always been a very talented forward and is rounding out even more.  Ashton is still producing points but is also moving the puck well and working hard to come back and play defence.  Great job Ashton.
**Brayden DeHaas continues to develop every game.  The difference from the first game of the year to now is amazing.  Brayden plays like someone has pushed the fast forward button on him.  He is full speed from start to finish and is one of the best defensive forwards on the team.  Way to go Hoss!
**Sean Mallett has such heart and determination that is rarely seen in a kid.  Sean plays hard, especially when prompted by the coaches!  Sean is clearly becoming more confident and offensive minded.  Look for Sean to develop at an even faster rate as his confidence continues to grow.

Overall, I think it is safe to say that the AE2 cobra's are having fun and becoming better hockey players every game.  I am very excited to see what the playdowns bring for us this year!!!

I would like to thank coach Paul, Scott, Matt, and Tyler on doing a fantastic job in helping to motivate, develop and teach these kids the game of hockey.  Lastly, a special thank you to our manager, Dawn Peatson who does more work, then I could ever handle, on the back end to make sure everything goes smoothly for us coaches, players and parents.  Thank you!!!

Way to go Cobra's.

Coach Anthony
