Cobras Fail To Advance In Silver Stick
Last weekend in the KMHA Regional Silver Stick Qualifier the Minor Bantams failed to advance to the playoff rounds after posting a 0-2-1 pool play record.

The Cobras opened the tournament against the eventual tournament champion York Mills hockey club.  With 23 seconds left in the game York Mills was able to take advantage of a late penalty and tip a puck over the shoulder of Connor O’Donohue to even the score 3-3.  Team scoring came from Martin Boughner G(2), Caleb Tryon G(1), Notah Hopkins A(1), Will McCracken A(1).

In game two, the Cobras battled to another draw with the Oakville Rangers by a score of 1-1.  Owen Lemieux held off the Ranger’s offense with many awesome saves.  The lone Kent goal was scored by Ian Campbell assisted by Aidan Fitzmorris and Cole Tetreault.

In game 3, the Cobras were faced with a must win scenario against North Toronto to advance in the tournament.  Unfortunately the well went dry on the depleted Cobra offense and the team was defeated 3-1.  The lone goal was scored by Caleb Tryon with assists going to Ian Campbell and Caley Whiteye.

The Cobras have a busy upcoming weekend as they play back to back to back games vs Lasalle, Amherstburg, and Erie.  Go Cobras!
