The Peewee Select Team played there final tournament this weekend.

The team opened the tournament against a very tough Barrie team. After having some time off the team showed some great passing and were very focused and battled all game. Cobra's 3, Barrie 2.

The teams second game was against Flamborough. The team remained focused and battled right to the final whistle, never letting up. Cobra's 10 Flamborough 0.

The teams third and final round robin game was against the host Pickering. After abit of a slow start, the team found its stride and took control of the game. Cobra's 7 Pickering 0.

The team finished the round robin 3-0 and secured the top seed heading into the semi finals.

In the semi finals the team played Barrie again. After a moment of silents for the tragic accident in Saskatchewan. The team again started slow, but battled hard, never giving up, and at the end of the first period took control of the game. Cobra's 6 Barrie  2.

In the final, the team played a familiar foe in Essex. The game was back and forth for three periods. Neither team was able to gain control and keep it. With the team down one goal with less then 20 seconds to play and the goalie pulled, the team scored to tie the game. The team started over time 3 on 3 and on a number of occassions thought they had scored. After 5 minetes of 3 on 3 and still no winner, the team moved to 2 on 2 over time. After some hard work by the team, the team scored to win the championship.

Was a great weekend and way to end the season.

I'm very proud of the entire team, for there play this weekend and all season.
