Welcome to tryouts!!
I'd like to welcome all of the players coming out for tryouts.
Please take time this weekend to go through your hockey bag and ensure all equipment is accounted for, fits, and skates are sharp. Make sure that you have your own water bottle and have it labeled with your name. All players must wear a neck guard and mouth guard to be allowed on the ice
TRY TO ARRIVE TO THE FIRST TRYOUT CLOSE TO AN HOUR EARLY TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE TIME TO REGISTER AND RECIEVE YOUR JERSEY.
Some of the things that evaluators and myself will be looking for on and off the ice are:
Effort ( skating hard, giving your best)
Listening and focus
Technical skills
Attitude
Leadership and Character.
A few things to remember on the ice:
Pay attention to the drills when they are shown to you.
If you don't understand something then please ask an adult on the ice to explain or show you again.
Do not shoot pucks while waiting in line.
Have fun! Tryouts don't have to be stressful.
Don't get down on yourself if you make mistakes.
* As soon as you walk through the door of the arena your tryout has started and you are being evaluated. Please be aware of this *
