U15A Kent Cobras won the International Silver Stick hockey tournament in Port Huron on Sunday February 1st, defeating the Midwest 49ers 7-4 in the finals.
What an exciting weekend for our U15A Kent Cobras team!! They battled hard at the International Silver Stick Tournament in Port Huron this past weekend and came home the CHAMPIONS!!!! This is the first International Silver Stick win for a KMHA team in 24 years. What an amazing achievement for this group!! A huge congratulations to all the players, coaches and families of the U15A team!! Way to go Cobras! 


The team got hot at the right time, knocking off three undefeated teams on their way to the championship.
Chatham-Kent went 2-2 in the round robin, including a 2-0 loss to the 49ers. The Cobras went into the playoffs as the seventh seed, and beat Collingwood 6-3 in the quarterfinals, and then topped the top seed South Oxford Storm 4-2 in the semifinals.
The Cobras were part of the U15/U14A division which featured 16 teams from across North America.
