the Penguins played their final playoff game this past Saturday defeating the Sharks 9-3. The Pens have earned a spot in the finals at the Day of Champs this coming Saturday due to their hard efforts all season long. Congratulations team, enjoy it for a few days and then lets get ready for those pesky Flyers! 

The Penguins played the Rangers today in a must win playoff game. The Rangers came out strong, out skating and out working the Pens early and jumped out to a commanding 4-1 lead. The Pens needed a lift and they got it from their goaltending. Standing on his head the rest of the way and allowing the Pens to cue the comeback. The Penguins finally took the lead 5-4 mid way through the third and wer able to hold off the Rangers for the victory. It was a great effort and all the players showed a lot of heart! 

The Pens faced off against the Av's for the 4th time this season and this game was just as high scoring as the first 3. the Pen's came out rolling and jumped out to a huge 7 goal lead after 2 period of play. The Av's to there credit, did not quit and caught the Penguins falling back in comfort and quickly made a game out of it. In the end the penguins held on for the win with a wild 14-9 victory!

The Penguins took to the ice against the Flyers today. To say the least the FLYERS came out "FLYING", took advantage of some defensive zone breakdowns to quickly move ahead 5-0 in the first 5 minutes of the hockey game. the Penguin team had a choice, roll over or fight back. They chose to fight back and came within inches of tying the contest late in the third. The Flyer goaltender stopped break away after break away earning the victory. Congrats go out to the Flyer club who played strong all game. 

The Penguins took to the ice Saturday to face off with the Rangers. Without there leading scorer and a very short bench, all the kids emptied the tank to earn a much deserved tie against a very good Rangers squad. Both teams had excellent goaltending and the game had everyone on edge from start to finish. The best effort and positionally played game for the Penguins all year. Way to go gang!
