PeeWee Minor AA, 2013-2014, REP (Kent Minor Hockey Association)

Thank you to Chatham Canadian Tire Manager Greg Pilon and his Assistant Manager Larissa for donating Canadian flags to the Kent Teksavvy Minor Peewee AA Cobras. The boys and families waved flags in support of the Canadian teams on the way to a Nations Cup victory for Canada.

The Kent Teksavvy Minor AA Peewees attend the Nations Cup this past weekend in Rochester Michigan going 3 and 2. Robin play Friday seen Kent winning games against Novi Ice Cats(3-1) and Toledo Cherokees(3-0), while dropping Saturdays games to St.Clair Shores(3-2) and Oakland Jr. Grizzles(2-0). The 2-2 record placed the Cobras in 4th place resulting in another matchup against Novi on Sunday to earn 3pts for Team Canada. The Cobras 2-1 win on Sunday added to the 15 pt total to earn the Nation Cup for Canada.

Tilbury native Aaron Jubenville was presented his very own Teksavvy Cobra jersey from the 2002 Minor Pee wee Team. The jersey was given to Aaron for his long time dedication to local hockey. Aaron is die hard Detroit Red Wing fan, however on this day the Teksavvy Kent Cobra Teams replaced the Wings. 

The Cobras travelled down the road to Essex this past weekend bringing home the Essex Early Bird Tournament with an impressive 6-0 record. After placing first in round robin play, the team showed their defensive ways on Sunday against Halton Hills and Milton, not allowing any goals in the semi-final and final to bring home the trophy. Well done boys!!!

Thank you to all the players who attended the AA tryouts. Without a doubt, this years tryout certainly made for some difficult decisions. For kids released, please continue to work hard during this upcoming year, and I will be contacting certain kids for an AP position. If you have been released from this team, and are a Chatham-Kent zone player, a decision will likely be made over the next few months regarding a Minor A program with KMHA.
