Maple City Kustom Karts is owned and operated by a very talented father and son team, Darrin Kivell and his son, Matthew Kivell. Darrin has been in the business of designing and manufacturing custom built pool tables with Maple City Billiards since 1987. Maple City Billiards was recognized with the Industry of the Month award in 2004 by the Municipality of Chatham-Kent. In 2006, he founded Maple City Kustom Karts.
