Tecumseh Powertech Tournament Schedule
*All Games @ Tecumseh Arena - 12021 McNorton St. Tecumseh, Ontario*

Game 1 - Friday, March 28 @ 6:15pm vs Amherstburg 
Game 2 - Saturday March 29 @ 9:00am vs PT Green
Game 3 - Saturday March 29 @ 11:30am vs Lasalle
Game 4 - Saturday March 29 @ 3:15pm vs Belle River

Finals - Sunday March 30 @11:30 - 2:30 - Game times will depend on how we place.

General Tournament Rules & Format:

  • All games will be played following standard full-ice hockey rules, including offsides, icing, etc.

  • Teams are required to provide their own matching jerseys. Please respond to this email with your team’s color(s).

  • There are five teams registered, and all teams are guaranteed a minimum of five games.

  • In pool play, each team will play against every other team in a round-robin format.

  • On Sunday, the 1st place team will receive a bye to the finals.

  • The 2nd and 3rd place teams will compete in a semi-final game.

  • The 4th and 5th place teams will play for 4th place.

Game Format:

  • Games will consist of three periods of 12-minute stop time.

  • three-minute warm-up will be provided before each game.

  • If a team is down by 5+ goals in the third period, the clock will run continuously.

  • Each team is allowed one 30-second timeout per game.

Penalties & Player Conduct:

  • Minor penalties will result in 2-minute stop-time penalties.

  • Major penalties will result in immediate ejection and further review by the tournament committee.

  • Zero tolerance for fighting, abusive language, or unsportsmanlike conduct—violations may result in suspension or expulsion.

Overtime & Tiebreakers:

  • Round-robin games may end in a tie.

  • Playoff games tied at the end of regulation will have a 5-minute, 3-on-3 sudden-death overtime.

  • If still tied, a three-player shootout will determine the winner.

  • If needed, a sudden-death shootout will continue until a winner is determined.

Tournament Standings Tiebreakers:

  1. Head-to-head result (if applicable)

  2. Goal differential (Goals For - Goals Against)

  3. Fewest goals allowed

  4. Most goals scored

  5. Coin toss (if all else is equal)

Sportsmanship & Respect:

  • Coaches are responsible for the behavior of their players, parents, and fans.

  • Officials’ decisions are final—no protests will be allowed.

  • Teams are expected to shake hands at the start of each game.
