Flight of the Phoenix This is a tale of a ravishing bird engulfed in fire.  Born in the Garden of Paradise and perched in the Tree of Knowledge.  This glorious creature is scorched by the Sun God and reborn from its ashes to spread its wings and soar freely, blazed in fire as it lights the sky, every 500 years.

An action packed game between the Canadiens and Penguins. Both teams played extremely well as scoring chances lingered at both ends.  The Canadiens coming out on top to edge the Penguins to a 4-1 victory.    

It was a hard fought game between the two teams, but the Avalanche had that extra step on the Canadiens.  Congratulations to Brandon Savage for his first hat trick of the season.  Jonathon Gebara added a goal and Parker Ouellette pitched in an assist. Netminder Brysen Perry made some outstanding saves but too many breakaways sealed the deal for the Avs.  Some great back-checking by Zach Suitor, Brady Goodall and Justin Rollings helped keep the Avs off the scoreboard for a bit.  It was a good effort by the Canadiens and a job well done for the Avalanche.  Good job Canadiens!  Keep working ...

Today was the official start of the season as the Canadiens edged the Bruins 3-1. Both teams played extremely well. Alex opened the scoring in the 1st with a sweet wrister and Brandon added another in the second with some slick manouvering to beat the Bruins defense and put it in the back of the net. The Bruins came within 1 goal in the 3rd when Jack put it 5-hole in the Canadiens net. But a gritty take away by Jonathon in front of the Bruins net led to a feed to Brandon for his 2nd of the game which sealed the victory.
