Information regarding the KMHA select program.

A Roster Select team refers to a team comprised of players selected from KMHA house/local league teams.  As an extension of our recreational house/local league, our Select program will continue to offer a more competitive level of play in a structured environment.

Applications for Select Coaches will be accepted through the KMHA website under House League Coaching applications, please select the team level within the application. Deadline for applications is Sept 8th.

Applications are to be e-mailed to the Travel Director at, [email protected]

The players must be eligible by age and with the recent rule change by OMHA, any player regardless of residency is eligible for this program if registered with House/Local League within KMHA. The select teams will compete in exhibition games and tournament games as per OMHA regulations while continuing to play for their House/Local League team.

Tryouts will take place after HL and LL teams have been selected and coaches have been selected.

Players who make the Select team continue to play on their House/Local League team, and play Select in addition to their rostered team. On the Select team, players have the benefit of additional practice time and participation in games against Select teams from other organizations. In addition, teams can enter 2 tournaments during the season.

The KMHA Select Program is a privilege. All players who sign are required to provide an additional assessment fee of $200 however, teams will be eligible to fundraise as per KMHA fundraising policy.

Select teams are run independent of their house/local league affiliates. All players MUST fulfill their obligation to their house/local league team first. Failure to do so can and will result in removal of this privilege.
