Season Update – Covid-19
The Kent Minor Hockey Executive held its monthly meeting last evening and discussed the new COVID-19 restrictions in Chatham-Kent.
As you are aware, the Province placed our area in the RED ZONE. The restrictions placed on us now limit the number of players allowed on the ice to 10. Prior to the lock down, we were allowed 20 players per session. The restrictions also do not allow for any 3 on 3 or 4 on 4 play. Training and skill development are the only permitted activities. With this information and no way of determining how long we would remain in the Red Zone, the Executive made the difficult decision to cancel the balance of our season.
Refunds will be issued for the second session registration fees. If payment was made by a credit card, a credit will be issued directly to your card and there is no need to contact the registrar. All credit card refunds will be issued by March 1, 2021. If payment was made by cheque or cash, a refund cheque will be mailed to you. Please email the Registrar ([email protected]) with the player's name and to whom the cheque is payable to as well as your correct mailing address.
The Executive wishes to thank all the players and their families for their patience during these very uncertain times.
Be safe, have a great summer and we will see you back on the ice in September.
