Checking & Body Contact Clinic

Does your child have plans on playing Bantam Rep hockey next year, please read:

I highly recommend participating in this clinic, we had a number of our players attend the clinic in previous years and it really benefited them in understanding the importance and safety of Body Contact.

"Checking is a critical skill in the game of hockey that when performed properly can create quality scoring opportunities or help a team regain control of the puck. Just like skating, puck control, passing and shooting there are key progressions to the skill of checking when taught effectively, can greatly enhance a player's enjoyment of the great game of hockey." This clinic and league are designed to provide instruction in a safe learning environment for all 2006 born players who will be starting to play full contact hockey next season.

·  Players will learn the fundamentals of checking and body contact without putting themselves into vulnerable positions

·  Players will learn to check with intent to gain body position and puck possession

·  Players will learn to play the game with confidence and respect the opposition

Please refer to the attached Invite_Letter for details regarding registration, costs, dates and times for both the Clinic and the League play.

This clinic is not mandatory and is completely optional to all players born in 2006 to attend.
