Unlucky Leafs Can't Get "Passed" Habs
Hardwork, check. Great team play, check. Lady Luck,,, not so much... Sometimes you need a little luck to win a hockey game.
Today luck was not on our side. With Mitchell ringing one off the post, Brett just missing on a backhand in close, and George being denied on a sure breakaway goal... A game we my have won ended in a loss. The only lucky bounce the Leafs had today was when the Habs put the puck into their own net. Carter was credited with that goal. Sawyer scored the Leafs other goal, with Gavin picking up the assist. Sawyer was awarded the game MVP for his strong efforts at both ends of the rink. The passing, board play, and back checking, displayed by all the Leafs today was great. Tanner played a strong game in net. We had the chances, but didn't get the bounces. This was a fun game to watch, and it looked like it was even more fun to play... Go Leafs Go.
