Flyers take series with 2-1 win.
The Leafs and Flyers met today in game two of the second round.
The Flyers came out flying early in the first (ya I said it). Kayden was peppered with many good scoring chances but he held the Leafs in the game. The Flyers scored the only goal of the first period and went into the second with a 1-0 lead.
The second period was more of the same for the Flyers, but Kaden and the Leafs defence turned away everything the Flyers threw at us . The Leafs were able to break into the Flyers zone but couldn't get any quality scoring chances. The secord period ended 1-0 Flyers.
The third period was one of the most exciting periods I have witnessed all year. Both teams had good scoring chances with the play going end to end. The Leafs bench erupted whenTyler tied up the game on a breakaway goal half way through the third period with the assist going to George. The action continued at both ends of the rink for the next five minutes until the Flyers took the lead on a well placed shot. With only three minutes left to play the Leafs took the play to the Flyers but just couldn't find the back of the net.
The Flyers took the game 2-1. Tyler took home the game MVP for the Leafs on another very strong performance at both ends of the rink.
Great game guys. We have been playing some great hockey of late and there should be no long faces after this loss. This is a team that beat us 8-2, 7-1, and 6-2 earlier in the year. We tied them last week and today's game could have went either way. The coaches are proud of everyones efforts today and are looking forward to next week.
