Cobras Eliminated From OMHA's
The Atom AE Tek Savvy Cobras left their hearts on the ice but they could not overcome the size and speed of the Burlington Eagles in OMHA playoffs this weekend.

On Saturday the Cobras failed on several chances to find the back of the Eagles net. Logan Miller gave all he had between the pipes to give his team a chance to win but there was no puck luck on the side of the Cobras. Burlington defeated the team 5-0 in front of our largest crowd of the year.

On Sunday the Cobras came to play but they failed to pick up a point on home ice. The team was down 0-2 when Nick Martin finally broke the series goose egg in the second period.  At the end of two periods the Cobras were in striking range only down 2-3. The second goal was Martin's as well. Unfortunately, Burlington took advantage of a power play opportunity and went up by two goals. Once again, Logan Miller frustrated the Eagle offense with many point blank saves. Late in the game it seemed the Cobras just ran out of gas. Burlington scored a couple goals in the last minutes of the third period to take a 6-2 victory. Garrett Drew took home the Sniper player of the game for all the positive support he continued to give his team mates (especially Logan) over the past two games.
Thank you goes out to all friends, family, and Cobra hockey fans for their support during the series.
I am am extremely proud of all the boys for a spectacular season. There was progression with #1 to #88, and everyone in between. We won a lot of hockey games but more importantly we had young boys grow as friends and team mates playing the coolest game on the planet!
Over the next few weeks will try to book a couple exhibition games and hopefully secure a tournament on the last weekend in March. We will continue to have developmental practices to prepare the boys for spring seasons and tryouts for next year. I will post all competition when it us confirmed.
