Cobras Execute Perfect Weekend
The Kent Major Peewee Cobras captured 6 out of 6 points over the weekend moving into second place in the Bluewater league.

On Friday the team defeated Amherstburg on the road by a score of 5-1.  This may have been one of the best TEAM efforts the Cobras put forth this season.  Puck movement, line change flow, and special teams were executed extremely well.

Cobra scoring came from Jeffrey Carey G(1-penalty shot) A(1), Aidan Fitzmorris A(2), Aiden Peel A(2), Martin Boughner G(1), Notah Hopkins G(1), Brayden Lariviere G(1), Soupdogg Campbell G(1).  Logan Miller was the winning goalie.

The boys got the best of the Essex 73’s in a home and home series with 5-2 and 8-0 victories.

On Saturday in Essex Zach Mackinlay-Hultgren, Martin Boughner, Austin Kozlof, and Ian Campbell all had G(1) A(1) games.  Other points were picked up by Brayden Lariviere A(2), Notah Hopkins G(1), and Ethan Labadie A(1).  Connor O’Donohue captured the win in net.

On Sunday, Stuee Loganator Miller was perfect in net for the Cobras.  Austin Kozlof lead the team in scoring with G(2) A(2).  Other scoring came from Zach Mackinlay-Hultgren A(3), Martin Boughner G(2), Jeffrey Carey G(1) A(1), Brayden Lariviere G(1) A(1), Aidan Fitzmorris G(1), Notah Hopkins G(1), and Cole Tetreault A(1).  Cole Tetreault now sits as a front runner for the Cobra Lady Bing after Zach Mackinlay-Hultgren took his first penalty of the year.  We may be looking for a bench minor in the near future so Tetreault can feel the shame!

The team focus this past weekend was about leadership.  We were pleased to see a full weekend of TEAM play filled with many examples of quality character that demonstrated our F.I.T. principles.  Only 4 games to go!

See you at the rink.
