Cobras Eliminated From OMHA's
This past weekend the KMHA Major Peewee's were defeated 5-3 and eliminated from OMHA playdowns at the hands of the Belle River Canadiens.

The Cobras came back from a first period 1-0 deficit and gained a second period lead of 2-1 on goals by Brayden Lariviere and Notah Hopkins.  Assists went to Zack Makinlay-Hultgren and Quinn Shoemaker.  The Canadiens would get the equalizer before the end of the second period.  Unfortunately the team played too much of third period on the penalty kill and Belle River tallied a 5-2 lead.  Adam Ross scored a late goal from an assist by Martin Boughner but it was too late.

The coaching staff would like to thank all the players and families for their support/sacrifice in an attempt to capture the title.  This "sacrifice to win" philosophy at OMHA playoff time is extremely difficult and emotional for everybody involved.  Although difficult, it is full of lessons beyond hockey that provide growth for all.

Best of luck to the Canadiens in Burlington.

See you at the rink as we regroup with new goals in mind!
