KENT FINDS SCORING TOUCH IN HARROW
The Cobras travelled to Harrow to meet the Erie-Northshore Storm with payback on their minds.
After an early season loss 5-0 to the Storm, the peewee AE Cobras had revenge in their eyes. The boys came out of the gates flying with Ryley Hammond scoring just over one minute into the game. Assists to Carter McArthur and Logan Jamieson. There was no stopping the Cobras as the buried two more goals in the first (Ryan Baker from Dylan Craievich) (Brenden Bellan from Cole Graves and Brett Graves) to take a three goal lead into the second. The Storm scored four mins into the second to narrow the lead but the period would belong to the Cobras scoring four times to take a 7-1 after two periods. Goals by Ryley Hammond, Cole Graves and two by Logan Jamieson with assists going to Jamieson, Hammond, Cole Graves, Brett Graves and Bellan with two. The Erie boys showed some good push back in the third scoring three mins into the period and taking the play to the Cobras for the rest of the period. Jamieson completed the hat trick on a nice shot block which led to a breakaway. The Storm buried two more times in the last two and a half mins to bring the game to an 8-4 final.
Jarrod Carr was the winning goaltender making 25 saves, most of those in the third period.
