Game 1, Avalanche
First game of the season is in the books.

Today the Rangers played the Avalanche.  The Avalanche are a team who played well and were well coached.
The game began with the Avalanche creating many scoring opportunities.  Fortunately for the Rangers, Kassidy Teare has proven to be a solid and reliable goalie!  Kassidy faced many shots early on and kept the Rangers in the game.  Eventually, the Avalanche managed to put 2 quick goals on the board, through a few defensive mistakes made by the rangers.
As the game went on, the Rangers forwards pressed on were able to score 2 goals to tie the game.  Williem Seguin scored 2 goals for the Rangers, 1 on a break away and the other through a great pass from Kaleb Wilson.  In addition to these 2 goals, Luc Kirchner, Kaleb Wilson, Aiden V, Victor Everrit, and Noah Wilson stepped up with created scoring opportunities and strong defensive play.  Aiden V must have caught 3 or 4 breakaways, while Luc won many face offs and stopped some breakaways as well.
On defence, Ethan Vandermeersch stepped up and has solidified his place on this team as the anchor for the defence.  Ethan played a fantastic game!  Additionally, Aiden Solway really stepped up and played his best game of the year.
Great effort was noted by all!
Other notes:  Landyn Johnson recorded the first point of his hockey career with a nice assist.  Serenity, who turned a year older today, skated very well and continues to improve.  Devon Wilson played his best game today and has become a much stronger player, in only 3 weeks.

GREAT JOB RANGERS!
