Week 3 Rematch Versus Sharks
Today, the Rangers played a rematch game against the sharks as our first game was cut short.

With free ice this week, due to a cancelled tournament, the Sharks offered the Rangers the opportunity to finish the game we began a few weeks back.  The first game vs the sharks was cut short due to an injury.

Today, the Rangers decided to have Asher play goalie, and Asher was excited to try.  Asher was bouncing off the walls even an hour before the game.  Asher gave it his all today and made several big saves for the Rangers. Boy, did he not disappoint!!!

Some game notes.
  • The line of Kaleb Wilson, Noah Wilson, and Williem Seguin continues to amaze.  I have not seen passing, like this line does, ever at the Novice level.  Kaleb, Williem, and Noah look for each other on the ice like they have been playing together for years.
  • Kaleb Wilson continued on his scoring streak today.  At this particular moment, Kaleb leads the Rangers with 17 points in 6 games.  Incredible!!!
  • Williem Seguin is a stud!  That's the easiest way to describe his play.  Williem plays like he has been playing hockey for 10 years.  Today, Williem had a breakaway and make such an incredible move to put the puck in. If I was goalie, I would not have been able to stop that move!
  • Assistant captain, Aiden Venhuizen played an amazing game.  Aiden is such a strong skater and very dominant player.  Aiden has embraced his role and is the strongest defensive forward on the Rangers team. Aiden consistently is the first forward back to help the defence, he stops breakaways, and is always giving his best effort.  Excellent job Aiden!
  • Kassidy Teare, who is normally our superstar goalie, played her first game out of the net.  Kassidy played forward on a line with Aiden Venhuizen and Owen Lamb.  Kassidy skated hard all game, had a few breakaways, and was a very strong forward for the Rangers.  This girl can do it all.
  • Owen Lamb skated hard all game.  Owen is continually improving and is really beginning to find himself in the middle of the play.  Owen, also gives his all and is a treat to coach.
  • Noah Wilson continues to improve every game.  Noah is quickly becoming one of the stronger forwards on this team and consistently produces scoring chances.  Keep up the good work Noah.
  • Serenity gave a good effort today.  She skated hard, and was able to find herself in good spots on the ice. Nice job Serenity.  Serenity also scored her first 2 points of the season.
  • Assistant captain, Luc Kirchner continues to be a strong forward for the Rangers.  Luc consistently finds scoring chances and is beginning to capitalize more and more.  Luc gives all out effort on every shift and is always ready to go!  Luc, like Aiden Solway, plays like he is 6'4, 250 pounds.  He's a monster!
  • Ethan Vandermeersch and Aiden Solway continue to lead the defence.  Both played extremely well and kept the puck in the offensive zone as much as possible.  In our own zone, both Aiden and Ethan kept the puck away from the net, blocked shots and make excellent outlet passes off the boards.  These are the unsung heroes on the Rangers.  They made the touch passes, keep the puck out of the net and give all out effort every shift.  Nice Job E-man and Aiden S.
  • Ethan Crow returned today.  The Rangers missed Ethan's excellent positioning on the ice.  Ethan is strongest on our own end.  He blocks shots and covers the front of the net extremely well.  The Rangers are very happy to have Ethan back.
  • Memphis continues to improve and learn his position well.  Memphis was inside the blue line in the offensive zone today!  Nice job Memphis.  Keep working hard and you will keep getting better.
  • Carter moved back to defence today and played very well.  Carter is becoming a better player with every shift.  Carter also continues to build confidence on the ice.  *A side note…  Try catching Carter not smiling! You can't!
  • Victor Everitt played defence most of the game.  As we wanted to balance the lines, the Rangers needed a smooth skating forward to step up on defence.  Victor played hard and did a great job.

Points.
4 goals, 1 assist - Williem Seguin
1 goal, 4 assists - Kaleb Wilson
1 goal - Luc "bubba" Kirchner
