Today the Rangers played the Sharks for first place.
The Rangers came out today ready to play. This was a good, quick game until the mid to late second period. Then it seemed fate was against us as the sharks put a few more goals on the board and the Rangers fell into penalty trouble. (I think that might be the first 5 on 3 power play in Novice)
Some game notes:
- The Kaleb and Williem line continued to make some great passes and set up scoring chances. Between the 2 forwards, the Rangers had multiple shots on net and a few points. Nice job guys.
- Serenity showed up late in the 2nd period and played 3 shifts. She did a great job putting in effort and skated hard.
- Landyn showed some great improvement today and made some key defensive plays. Keep working hard Landyn.
- Memphis played on forward and saw, first hand, that forward is a different game. Memphis skated hard and won some keep face-offs. Good work Memphis.
- Asher played a good game today. He worked hard all game and stayed in the play. Asher came off every shift almost exhausted! Great effort Asher.
- Kassidy faced a lot of tough shots today and gave a great effort. She made some big saves early in the game to give the Rangers a chance.
- Aiden "Sobey," Solway played the best game of his life. He moved to forward at the end of the 3rd period and did such a fantastic job. He created some scoring chances and had some shots on net.
- Devon Wilson continues to develop. Devon played quite a bit today and was strong for the Rangers. The coaches are all proud of his development.
- Owen Lamb and Noah Wilson also saw some extra time and sure made the most of it. Owen also played his best game to date and was involved in the play. He made some great plays in clearing the puck and skated hard. Noah worked on trying to skate with the puck a little more and put in a solid effort.
- Ethan Crow and Ethan Vandermeersch played a great defensive game and blocked many shots. Positionally, there aren't 2 better defenceman in the league!
- Victor carried the puck on an end to end rush. What an accomplishment. Victor has been working hard on carrying the puck. With his smooth skating, Victor is going to be a solid hockey player. Great work Victor.
- Aiden Venhuizen played a fantastic game as well. Aiden has been a work horse for the Rangers.
- Carter played a great defensive game for the Rangers today. Carter is another one of those Rangers players that continues to play better every time he steps on the ice.
The playoffs are coming and that makes every game a practice for us. Great effort today Rangers.
